Ready to give and to serve others
The Florida Kiwanis Foundation was created in 1971 by Former Kiwanis Governor Robert Thal. He insisted that Ralph Davis be the driving force behind the formation and appointed him president & the bylaws were approved by International on May 3, 1971.
Our Leadrship
Governors, Kiwanians, and community leaders
Ralph Davis served as the Foundation’s first president until formal elections could be held for his successor, which would be J. Walker Field, the first elected president of the foundation in September 1972. Perhaps the hardest working of all was Robert W. Thal who became the second elected president in September 1973.

Preparing a legacy of world-changers
Today, the strength and diversity of the Foundation has eclipsed its humble beginnings. We have made giant strides forward in an effort to establish permanency in the development and continuity of our youth leadership programs.

We are dedicated to supporting Florida Youth to ensure a brighter future and leave a legacy for the children.

These funds exist to propel future leaders forward in their educational pursuits and assist with college tuition and financial aid.
Grants
Matching grants, mini grants, emergency grants, Wil and Rachel Blechman grants, and David and Donna Batelaan grants are available through the Foundation. These grants fund child-focused programs and disaster relief in Florida.
Endowment Fund
Long-term funding to support Service Leadership Programs, scholarships, and Kiwanis Club grants.
